last weekend, brieena (brian & leena – the happy newlyweds) took the “family” (that’s the two of them plus ray, nick and me) to coya in mayfair, london. bri’s mother wanted to express her gratitude to us for helping out at the wedding and as a result, handed the couple some cash and we were the lucky people who got to dine with them! you can read all about brieena’s wedding here.
coya is a peruvian restaurant so expect lots of fresh cold seafood known as ‘ceviche’. it’s like sashimi (raw fish) but it’s marinated in sharp flavours. we ate a lot and to be honest, i don’t remember much about the dishes. that’s not saying that it wasn’t good, it was all good! so fresh and tasty that i think we all devoured them in seconds. bit of a pointless blog entry really but i wanted to share the delicious pictures (hoping to gain some food envy readers) and say thank you to bri’s mummy for a wonderful meal i wouldn’t have been able to afford seeing as i’m unemployed.
come here for style, glamour and excellent service but there are so many new peruvian restaurants in town that does the job for less money. definitely date worthy though – i’d be impressed ha!
